We have created this latest flavour with warm, hazy summery occasions in mind - be that sharing our foog with friends at a picnic at Edinburgh Gardens, tucking in alongside a salad in the backyard as the sun sets, or eating it as is by the Fitzroy Pool.
The juiciest, most flavourful cherry tomatoes and garlic are slow cooked for a number of hours (the confit method) with Mt Zero olive oil and fresh garden basil for an extra zing. This infused oil is then added into the dough for maximum flavour.
New to a fougasse? Don’t stress! Treat it like a focaccia - enjoy it as pull-a-part for lunch, on an antipasti platter, or bring it for a picnic with pals. It is also the perfect shape to use as a frisbee if things get really dire (but I suspect you’ll have totally demolished the product before then!).
